A book on the Palestinians Recommended by Dr/Ms Alijah Gordon

Dear Friends,

In March we brought out Palestinians Speak: I Painted the Snow Black … Because we’re afraid of the days. Soft cover, 193 pp. plus 4 pp. of photographs; price USD 12.00.

This book comprises testimonies from the Palestinian survivors of multiple aggressions against them in Lebanon from 1975-1990: the Tal al-Za’atar massacre; Israeli invasion; Sabra-Shatilla massacre; War of the Camps; Khiam Prison; Wretched of the Earth, and also includes testimony from a Malaysian woman Medical Volunteer who served in Bourj al-Barajneh when it was under siege. There is also a write-up on the whole Malaysian Medical Volunteer Programme as well as four pages of photographs of the Malaysian Volunteers taken while they were working in the besieged camps.

Among the testimonies on the Sabra-Shatila massacre is that of Souad Srour Merii, a witness in the case being filed in Belgium charging Sharon with War Crimes.

Anything you might do to publicize this book, which really belongs to the survivors, would be appreciated.

Best wishes,

Dr/Ms Alijah Gordon
